Best bang for the buck torque wrench name brands

    Hey guys I just joined this forum and am working on a friends 01 VW Jetta doing the timing belt. I was wondering what torque wrench would you recommend to buy such as kind and also brand? Thanks in advance.

    I would get 2, one for low range up to around 25 ft-lb, and one for medium range 20-100. I use precision for medium range, bought craftsman for low range on sale at sears (they're always on sale), here's some more tips. http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/torque-wrench-FAQ.htm

    Sears isn't a bad choice. Stay away from Harbor Freight

    I agree, craftsman is a good choice with good warranty support. The other benefit is they are made in the USA. Needless to say the Chinese ,we'd ones are 1/3 the price but their accuracy and durability are minimal.
