2006 jetta ac problems!

    2006 jetta tdi it takes about 5 miles for the ac to start cooling ? when it starts cooling it good and cold! freon is fully charged. any ideas?

    The mk5 AC compressors have a higher than normal failure rate. Basically, the pulley is spinning all teh time, there's an internal valve which controls if the freon is getting compressed. This valve can fail, means you need a new compressor. Any error codes? I don't know if autozone scanners will pick up the climate control module though.
