2005.5 jetta tdi timeing belt replacement

    Be careful, if it jumped timing there's a good possibility that the valves have crashed into the head. Here are timing belt instructions: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a5/brm-VW-Jetta-TDI-timing-belt-replacement-1.htm

    Here are head replacement instructions for an earlier engine, the BRM procedure is similar: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a4/cylinder-head-removal-ALH-TDI-engine.htm At least check for damaged lifters . These are interference engines and a compression check may not show damage since the valves point up-down.
