    Hello.

I will be changing tension belt and water pump in a while (Octavia 1, same as Golf IV with 1.9 TDI "AXR" engine). I am collecting parts for that operation, and I heard that service manual assumes replacing 12 bolts - but I don't know which. Does anybody know what bolts should be replaced while replacing tenstion belt and waterpump?

The bolts should be the engine mount bolts, and most of the bolts and nuts on the timing belt path. I'm not familiar with the AXR engine, but those are usually the ones that are replaced during this job.

Can you post a picture of these 12 bolts?

    Octavia/Octavia Tour 1.9D TDI PD 2003-11
    Engine code: ASZ, ATD, AXR

Doesn't need the engine mounting removed. TDI Timing Belts App

    Golf 1.9D TDI PD 1998-06
Engine code: <2002 Hydraulic Tensioner - AJM, ANU, ARL, ASZ, ATD, AUY, AXR

Does need the engine mounting removed.
