Hi folks, my 2012 1.6 Tdi has 86k on the clock and no sign of a timing belt/water pump change being done in the sevice history book, do you think i should book it in and get it done ?

What is the timing belt interval on that car? Is that miles or kilometers?

US 2.0 TDIs have a 130,000 mile timing belt interval, so my initial response would be it isn't necessary yet. However; check your manual and confirm what the actual interval is on that car. ;)

Very close. Is it easy to remove timing belt cover for belt inspection?

Booked it in to have the work done in the next couple of weeks. Is £349 a good price ?

Whats that, about $600 bucks. Not bad.

Make sure to have tensioner replaced. And water pump if riding on that belt.

Hi Xeno, its roughly 453 bucks, it's the full kit, so cambelt, waterpump, tensioners etc
