Default Would it be worth it...?

Thinking of pulling my 99 mk3 tdi engine and trans and putting it into a 99 mk4 2.0 ??? Both are 5 speeds. The mk4 is very clean, has a blown motor and is just 850 dollars. Has anyone ever bothered doing such a thing?

I don't think anyone has put a AHU into a mk4 body, lots of done put ALH into mk3 style bodies. engine not direct fit + custom wiring harness + labor = way more cost and expense vs. selling what you have and buying a 99 ALh engine mk4. Way easier, esp considering cost of a 99 jetta tdi.

I don't think the swap would be all that easy considering the fueling system alone is completely different and will require a new engine harness. It don't think it will be cheap enough to be worth it!
