Default Timing Belt Question
What is the recommended mileage to change a timing belt for a '12 Golf TDi? Does it make a difference that 95% of the miles are highway miles and is driven 130 miles round trip M-F?

I believe the spec is 120,000 miles...

I wouldn't try to milk too much more out of it... I'm not familiar with the Common Rail designs, but on the older (2003 and before) cars, most of the strain on the belt components comes from the injection pump, which is working the hardest at sustained highway speeds...

BTW, your projected mileage isn't close to extreme... many people drive double that...
