hi i have a 04 audi a4 with a 1.9tdi 130bhp. my serpentine belt tensioner failed and was replaced but it still continued to jump around alot.
it turned out that the clutch pulley on the alternator was siezed. this pulley should allow the alternator to continue to rotate at its own speed after the engine rpm is goes from high rpm to low rpm suddenly. hope i explained this clearly!! your jetta might have one of these clutch pulleys on the alternator?? |
