newbie here Immobilizer issue

I have a 2K Jetta tdi in Ashland, Virginia. I have had the immobilizer issue in the past but it was very in frequent. Over the last several months, I've experienced numerous times. My questions, can vagcom be of any use and how do I use the SKC? I do have the original tag. thanks

see the immo2 specific FAQ article through the general immobilizer FAQ page. SKC is used for programming new keys or instrument cluster.

You can use vagcom to monitor key status, if engine start was blocked recently, antenna status.
