Sorry my mistake its under C:Program Files\Common Files\System\Ado\msado28.tlb

Well at least you have it.

I know you don't know me but I'm sure you virus and malware check everything before you use it? Like you did when I posted the original exe and ocx.

You didn't say if you manage to get COMCTL32.OCX registered?

Again I could post you the full installation package if you want to try that way around?

Keith many thanks for providing this. I've put it onto my laptop and it's handy to have access to it where there's no Internet access.

Thanks again for your work.

Well thank you very much for replying to this thread you are the first and only one thats told me it works for them.

It doesn't need internet access to run it just uses a web browser control to display the data. If you click on the The Web in the menus it will open a window and show different VW forums of this is one of them and links to scan tools.

I'm glad someone finds it useful. I've updated the database it now shows 6282 error codes.

Thanks again for replying.

This is great. The only issue I had was on Windows 7 64bit (which really isn’t an issue) I had to extract the files and Right click on the .exe file and tell it to run as administrator.

Thanks for the feedback. So it did work on 64bit if you ran it as administrator. This means that dao360.dll must be on your system. So did you have to put Comctl32.ocx in the Windows\System32 folder?

Now a funny thing happened the other day at work someone was asking about EOBD codes I said I had made a programme with 6282 error codes in. He tried to run it of the College server and it came back with the Comctl32.ocx missing error. Now we need admin rights to have a s**t here so I asked the techs to put the ocx in the Windows\System32 folder so he could use it. My app and the ocx were on my flash drive. I said just run it and see the error on Windows 7, no error it ran that was because Comctl32.ocx was on the flash drive as well. He copied it to the Win\Sys I removed my drive and it worked. Now thats not normal it has to be in Windows\System32.

Chitty maybe interested in this as it doesn't work on his Vista 64bit.

I shall have to post the update to Chitty to add on here as I've added another 400 error codes and changed the layout a bit so it fits all screens.

Thanks Keith for the Software, it runs perfectly fine on XP 32bit. Keep up the good work! It was already very useful especially in dealing with ignorant dealerships...
Is there an updated version available as I read on an another thread?

Cheers for replying freeflyer. Originally there were 5680 error codes I've since found more and it shows 6380 in the revamped version and I've tidied up the resize.

Now 1621 users have viewed this thread and only 50 users have downloaded this app but only three have made any comment. It makes you wonder if it worth posting anything?

I shall have to send Chitty the revamped version so he can overwrite the original as its too big to upload myself.
