Default EGR cooler leak check

Hi,

How do I check if the EGR cooler is leaking, I don't see white smoke, so it must be a very small leak.
I 'm petty sure that my cylinder head is ok as it's one of the late model of the BKD engine 2,0 TDI 16V.

The EGR cooler ain't cheap either.

Thanks

Nille

If you take it off the car and pressure test it, you can see if it's leaking internally. If it's leaking externally you could look for soot or pink stains. Are you losing coolant?

Thanks, Yes I'm loosing coolant between min and max level for every 1000 Km.
The engine behaves normally, no white smoke.
