![]() Well I don't know which year they started doing this but on newer VW's you don't need the radio code as the the ecu knows the original radio code. If you disconnect the battery for what ever reason and reconnect it checks the radio code and if it matches the original the radio will carry on working. If only if you change the radio to another vehicle you have to enter the radio code again. 1K0 035 180L isn't the radio code its a part number which I don't have time to look up at the moment.
