A3 Immobilisor Nightmare!!

Hi,

this morning my audi 2001 key blade broke off, managed to get the motor running holding the key base close to the ignition, but now it won't restart.

looking at the forum, it looks like moving the immbillisor bit away from the ignition has caused a problem with the link between system and key.

Going to try the resources, but if anyone has any advice it would be welcome.

You should be able to continue to hold it at the ignition during engine start to get it started with the metal key. The range is only about 1".
