Exclamation Replaced Cluster, Car starts then stops

Hey Guys, I have a 2003 Audi A6, and my Odometer does not light up. I ordered a Cluster from Ebay and got it in; looked at some Youtube how to videos on how to swap it out, easy enough. I switched it out, Lit up beautiful! Only problem is, my car won't stay running now. Starts up then dies immediately. I put the old cluster back in, and Runs fine. I understand that it has to be flashed or something because of the Anti Theft device immobolizer......My question is, Without having to go to a Dealer, Are there any ways I can get this to work......I tried to disconnect the battery hoping to reset the computer......Didn't want to spend a fortune.......Any help would be much appreciated.......I'm a soldier stationed at fort sill.....Oklahoma.......freddie_g2001 at y a ho o........dot com Thanks for any help in advance.....

Have you tried the rosstech wiki site? I know they have the info for swapping the ecu but they might also have the info for swapping the clocks too. That's where I'd look for a start.

You need to have the ECU reflashed with an immobilizer delete or buy the tools to program the immobilizer. The cheapest way is to buy the tools and resell them when done. See the immobilizer FAQ article here for how to get started. Quickest way is to drive to dealer and have them do it. I can't see it taking over 1 hour and for $100 it might be worth it. As long as they don't overcharge.
