Remote not working???
The switchblade key on my remote works to unlock & lock the car but the remote itself doesn't. I also noticed that the red led light that usually flashes next to the door lock is not flashing anymore although the car is locked and the alarm sounds. Any advice on where to start to fix the problem?

Welcome to the forum.
 Well if the LED doesn't flash when you operate the buttons sounds like the battery has died. They are cheap enough aand easy to change just search in the FAQ section. Key FAQ for mk4 VW
