I have a volvo s6o d5 2005 model, that goes into limp mode when you push it upto 3000rpm.I have a code reader and it is saying it is my turbo wastegate.Could the cause of this be muck clogging it up,and if so if i was to remove and clean and refit the turbo could this stop my car from going into limp mode.Or is there any other suggestions why this could be happening??? |

I have no clue what engine that car has, can you give any more details?
If it's a diesel, here are some suggestions: check all vacuum lines. A common problem on cars is broken vacuum lines due to heat/age/mice/damage/repair work where it wasn't put back. If your turbo system is controlled by solenoid, the solenoid or wiring could be faulty. The turbo wastegate could also be stuck if it's a diesel but this is a very rare problem on a gasoline car. This is going off the code that says you have a bad turbo wastegate. Also, since you posted this in classifieds, I moved it to other car talk. |

If you give the exact code the code reader said you might find help on a volvo board or google.
