Default Thanks for Great Instructions

Just a note to say "Thanks" for the great instructions for replacement of the 2006 Jetta TDI timing belt. It was an easy job (about 6 hours). Replaced belt, tensioner, idler, water pump, motor mount bolts - used metalnerd kit and timing belt kit from PartsGeek. That build up of mud/dirt behind the fender splash guard was really bad - everyone should just clean that out.

For those wondering how long they last - I never replaced the original parts until 151,000 Miles. I know I pushed it. I inspected all parts and they were all in great condition.

Glad it could help, it goes beyond what you can find in the service manual.
