Default Smoke on start
I have an 06 Jetta TDI that emits a cloud of white smoke after start. Sometimes it is worse than other times. Oil consumption is not excessive as I don't need to add between oil changes. It does not smoke while driving. The vehicle has 105K.

Any suggestions or it it something I have to live with.

How much smoke? It's normal for a small puff on PD engines.

Sometimes a small puff which would be OK but more often it is a cloud which is a little embarassing.
