Default Replacing the engine issues?

what are the problems associated with replacing the engine with a TDI car? I ask because, I was reading that one guy did and then had all sorts of sensor signals that popped up after the new engine was installed, which was not a problem and drove fine.

It sounded like another nightmare to replace the engine versus just the engine head, is this true? Is it just a matter of resetting the car's CPU because the old data is from the previous engine and a conflict exists?

No problems that I can think of. Nothing needs to be reset other than normal stuff from disconnecting battery.

Replacing an engine requires a much less sophisticated level of mechanical ability... It's possible (likely!!!) that this person may have damaged some of the wires going to the various sensors (or the actual sensors) during the removal and replacement process...
