I just bought my first VW! What remote start do you have?

Hey guys! I'm super excited to be the pround new owner of a TDI! I've been lurking for about a week now and I can't believe how much information is on this forum, you guys are great. I also have a Ford Powerstroke, and without forums like these that particular vehicle would of probably been the victim of an unexpected garage fire - meaning that it can be very frusterating.

I took my 2011 Jetta into the audio/alarm place today to find out about remote start and having the PKE installed with a push-button start. He quoted my $1400 for remote start (wifey's Impala was $400) because he calims it's so difficult to work on, and it's a diesel, and yadda yadda. As far as PKE he said it's a dealer item and to forget about it.

I've installed remote starts before and found them difficult only because of the confined spaces involved. I like my Jetta key/fob and so I only wanted to install a remote start that had a single button fob, just for start.

I want to install a package that includes the PKE, push-button start and remote start. I can ebay as good as anyone, but what setup do YOU have on YOUR car?
