Default Is this a good deal on a 2010 Jetta TDI?

So I took one out for a ride and found a car with the right options and am curious if this price has any room left for bargaining.

MSRP = $25649 - $2000 off the sticker = $23649

6-spd
Sunroof
17" Wheels
MDI
Jetta Protection Kit (Not sure what that is, mudflaps?)

0% for 60 months

I was given a copy of the dealer invoice and it shows the invoice amount to be $24,502. Is this possible or is there more room for them to negotiate further?

Thanks
Chris

I purchased the same car with the same options about 8 months ago. Looks like you are getting a very fair price plus no interest. I think they have surplus of 2010 TDIs to move. I heard they pay 7% under invoice and the most important thing for them is the number of new cars they move a month.

In the 8 months you have owned your car, how has it performed based on your expectations?

It has performed without a problem and is a joy to drive. I had a 09 2.5 Jetta before that and a 07 Rabbit 2.5. I did not like the automatic transmission and I really enjoy the 6spd manual and the diesel torgue. I am using B2 and Stanodyne additive just because of the HPFP issue causing fuel system failure in an unknown number these vehicles. The fuel system is covered up to 60,000 miles and your homeowners insurance should cover it after that. Not an issue I thought I would have to worry about when I purchased the car. IMHO just be careful not to let them get their profit on an extended warranty or an overly expensive GAP insurance.

Where do you source your Stanodyne? I put a lot of miles on mine for business and chasing down B2 isn't a realistic option for me...now have 12K miles on the car since July.

stanadyne option:

http://www.diesel-plus.com/additive_...tle2=Stanadyne

B100 option:

hyperfuels.com

1 Quart of B100 each time you fill up the tank (12.5 to 13.5 gallons will get you around B2).

I am not to happy about buying a new car and then having to think about these things.
