Default EGR & intake Cleaning ????

Hi,
My 2006 BRM has very little power at take off
,but once it hits just over 2000Rpm it seems to pick up very good.
I plan on doing the Intake & EGR cleaning next week. Does this sound like it may be the problem?
Also what new gaskets must I order to do this?
Thanks

Get the intake manifold - cylinder head gasket. You should be able to reuse the metal EGR gaskets. The intake shouldn't be too bad but how slow is it under 2000 rpm? Normally low power is more noticeable at higher requested power and rpm.

It is guttless when taking off ,also
I can only get 160 Km / 100MPH at top speed on the highway ,should it not do better then this??
I am stumped ,I am told that it could be ,EGR,Intake needs cleaning,MAF,Turbo ,cam ...
I just unpluged the MAF and took it for a good hard run and no change at all .

If power is unchanged from unplugging the MAF and driving like that, you probably have a bad MAF. I suggest logging the sensor readings with a VCDS before buying a new MAF.

Is intake plugging a problem on the 2006 BRM? I have 145,000k of highway driving; no problems yet but haven't checked the intake for restrictions.

Not really. The newer ultra low sulfur diesel helps too.
