Default cam replacement

I'm in the middle of replacing the timing belt on my 2005.5 jetta at 145,000km. Upon dis-assembly i found the cam worn on all but two lobes. I have not removed the cam yet but have removed the injector rocker assemblies for a better look.

Who has the best price on a cam kit...either stock or mild performance?

Will I require the computer program to get it running again or can I get it close enough to drive to someone with the program?

I purchased the DSG dual mass flywheel as well so that I have it on hand should it be needed. It is not yet making noise though the dealer indicates it has not been changed (car purchased used at 90,000km).
Would it be just as well to change it now while the car is out of service? Is there another test to find if the flywheel has an impending failure?
Thanks (first post for access to faq)

Check out colt cams, I believe they're in CA.

You can run the car with either stock or aftermarket cam, not sure why you need a computer program. It will enhance the cam though.

No real test for flywheel inspection unless it's out of the car FYI, there's no writeup for DSG transmission removal or flywheel removal so if you want to do one, it will qualify for the writeup contest, see here for details: Writeup award gift certificate through sponsor KermaTDI
