Default Audi TDI mileage indicator selector

2010 audi a3 tdi

Re: mileage indicator which show in real time the miles per gallon.
How do you change that?

After carwash mine went haywire going from 200MPG to Nothing to 5MPG, just crazy. I brought it in to be fixed but they say it is a switch and they changed it to say how many miles I will get on a tank of gas. I'd prefer it to tell me how many miles I am getting real time but I cannot figure out how to change it back. I am afraid I'll break the selector switch.

also is there a 'haywire' function or are they di#$%ing around with me?

This car is awesome but without the screen the bluetooth functions are just plain silly.

Welcome to the forum.

Well if its the same as mine you could have inadvertently pressed the buttons on the mfsw if you have one or the buttons on the wiper stalk to change the settings shown.

You can have it showing instant mpg which will vary depending on throttle position then will show 200mpg on the overrun or 10mpg while accelerating hard. Or you can set it to show current mpg in memory 1 or average mpg in memory 2. Check the switches.

On the 2010 A3, the rocker switch on the end of the wiper stalk and the button on the bottom of the stalk determine what's displayed on the DIS. The button determines the mode, and the rocker determines what is displayed in the specified mode.
