Default Any pros and cons for diesel?

The car I bought was used 95% for hwy commuting, now the car is used in the opposite manner, mostly in town and city, so stop and go when it happens.

I have read that diesels do not like city driving, but I do not understand why this would matter. Are there any issues I should be aware of ?

You don't have a DPF (see FAQ) so no worries there. A diesel takes longer to heat up so if taking very short trips, engine doesn't have a chance to fully warm up. No engine is happy on short trips but the longer the warmup, the longer the definition of "short trip". No other reasons other than city driving is where hybrids shine.

Default EGR

short distance at low rpm builds up carbon on egg system and manifold.
