tdi actuator rod

hi i hae fitted a new turbo actuator and rod but i am not sure of how to set the length of the rod

The rod should be fitted at the same length. I replaced mine on my ALH engine, and it was the same. have your old one off, compare it to the new one, the new one should match and have been set at the proper length, if it doesnt match the rod should be threaded and adjust it accordingly up or down by spinning it...?
