Easy peasy my man, no worse than chancing a clutch imo anyway. Line the flywheel to tdc first with the mark then fit the new one on the same way and bobs your uncle (or auntie if he's a cross dresser
) There's a faq for removing the box too if needed but it's not to tricky.

Im using the guide off this site, its fantastic! Box off, clutch off, flywheel off. now found my oil leak... main rear seal, so now on order. While Im this far in it may as well be fixed properly.
I heard there are a few benefits from doing dmf to smf conversion. There's quite a bit of difference in the weight between them (smf lighter). It should make quite a bit of difference. seatman: agr/alh? hybrid block? and what are PP764nozzles? |

Basically I had the AGR in my cordoba with the wastegate turbo and I've now put the engine into a Mk4 golf with a vnt setup that came with it so it's virtually an ALH. The turbo is the only difference I can find so far.
As for the PP764's they're bigger injector nozzles, give a nice boost for a 90 and with the proper turbo and tune can handle around 180 bhp. They were easier than getting a tune at the time and a bit cheaper, I reckoned I might as well get them then I have room to upgrade other stuff later. I bought them from a vendor called Kerma tdi and this guy set them up, there the same ones on his site. http://dbwllc.net/nozzleselect.aspx

Is it just a case of getting the nozzles and fitting them? or do you need a remap at the same time? can/will the engine run properly with the uprated nozzles on its standard map/ecu. did you notice a difference in fuel consumption?
im borrowing a friends 2000golf130gttdi and the difference in torque is quite a lot, he is totally standard with almost identical milage. could that be the 6 speed box that im noticing im changing gear more often? |

Does anyone know how to find if a dsg gearbox is compatable to my vehicle. I have a 2006 TDI with a HQN transmission code. VW dealers are no help!
Thank you for your help. |
