I'm new to this forum. I love the MK4 Jetta TDi so much, I bought 2 of them, one for me and one for my son. When I drive the 2 cars back to back, I notice a pretty substantial power drop at around 3K RPM in my car. It is more noticeable in higher gears. I have cleaned the intake manifold and changed all the vacuum lines. I have also done a smoke test for leaks with no success. It sure feels like a boost leak of some sort. Any insight would be appreciated. --Navid |

Possible, could also be fueling issue since you say it's more noticeable in higher gears. Check out the low power article in the FAQ and start looking around.

Are you throwing and CEL codes? If you replaced the vacuum hoses is the check valve the right way around? it's color coded. Don't ask me how I know this - but it makes a big difference in power.
