My son's 2001 GTI 1.8t ECU fried when his secondary O2 sensor wire was ripped in half and ground out. Bought a new ECU on ebay out of MK4 Jetta 1.8t and installed it, but the immobilizer won't let the car run. Can I just disable the immobilizer or do I have to limp it to the dealer and buy new keys? Thanks, AnteFate |

You should be able to limp it to the dealer but you need the SKC number.
