Neither ABS lights should come on when you turn the AC on. You need to find someone with VAG-COM\VCDS to give your car a scan.
I've never heard of Nepa where is that?

Hi Keith,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunatly I don't have easy access to VAG. NEPA is local slang for Northeast Pennsylvania. |

Hi Keith,
Thanks again, AutoZone only offers free OBDII scans. At least in my area they don't invest in VAG diagnostics. |

Well I'm only going by what YMZ said on a few threads.
Even an EOBD II scan is better than nothing. Or you could search in your area Vag-Com Locator Map

Geneo,
despite it not making sense that is absolutely what happens when a fuse goes bad. It happened to me when I first got the car.. I put the A/C on and the brake light came on and the panel made that annoying noise when something is wrong. I traced it back to a blown fuse in the fuse panel. Electricity will find the easiest path to where it wants to go and in our cases it went via the brake circuits I guess. Glad you found and fixed it.. it had me scratching my head when it happened to me. |
