When I change out the keyless entry electronics and replace the battery, it seems I will have to reprogram it (according to the instructions this website provided). But since I only have one key, it states that I will need a VCDS cable. Does anyone know where I can get such a cable? Will I need to know the SKC to reprogram the keyless entry? If so, where do I look to find it? All the paperwork that came with the car is long lost. Thanks, in advance, for any information. |

Welcome to the forum.
![]() If you were very careful you could remove the RFID chip from the old key fob and stick it in the new one then it wouldn't need programming. VW and Audi key, remote, and immobilizer FAQ and troubleshooting VAG-COM\VCDS is a very useful tool but you would need other software and cable to read the SKC and programme the key VAG TACHO
