I'm back... 2002 TDI Jetta Wagon ALH issue after starting

...probably didn't even know I was gone...

Anyway, I had a 2003 Jetta Wagon TDI that had body damage, ended up with an 11mm pump with the manual trans... very nice... decided to sell and replace with a Mercedes 300D.. (still have it), and in the process hit a deer... fixed it then sold it... Also have a 2002 White Jetta Sedan... and just decided to get another 2002 Jetta Wagon TDI - silver, just like my old one but with an automatic (nicely rebuilt one... the white 2002 has a freshly rebuilt by aamco because the PO had paid them way too much money do do things to it and it blew up and they had to rebuild it... it works... mileage is ok... so we're cool...)

ANYWAY... my 2002 TDI Jetta Wagon has a little stumble/roughness after starting, and has some smoke... after oh, maybe a minute, it smooths out and runs great... last tank, if the trip odo was reset properly by the PO, was 44.3 mpg... not bad with an AT...

no codes, all the glow plugs were replaced as was the bridge... no smoke after a few seconds... blew 2% opacity emissions test... 215k on it... plenty of power when warm...

THOUGHTS?

THE OTHER QUESTION is whether we should keep the White 2002 Jetta TDI GLS Sedan, or the
