camshaft relacment for 05 passat tdi

need to replace the cam in my 05 passat tdi, how big of a job is this? does the front end have to come off to get the cam out ? this is my first post and have never been in an online forum before so if im not doing this right please let me know... thanks

Removing the front end makes this a very easy and spacious task. I recommend it for changing any timing belts on a passat.
