Angry Airbag Warning Light...Seat Exchange?

I have a 1999 New Beetle. I exchanged my seats from Cloth to Heated/Leather. I was not aware of the fact that some of the wires were for the side airbags. I assumed the wires were for the Seatbelt Warning Sensor. Since the connectors were identical, and they plugged in...I did not anticipate problems. Now, my Airbag Warning Light is ON! What did I do wrong? Do I just need to do something on the VCDS?

If you turn the ignition on with any part of the airbag system disconnected it throws a light but once things are reconnected you can just clear the light with vagcom or any other suitable scanning tool.
