Default 2004 Jack Points

Hi Everyone,

I need some opinions on this as I'm big on safety and just wanted to be sure. I read the thread on the 2005 jetta jack points and wanted to know if you could also jack up the front of the car from the sub frame. The folded pinch welds looks to have been damaged from myself or through the dealer unsure at this point. They seem to hold the car up when its in the air but it's gotten to a point where I can't life the car up and place the jack stand on the same pinch weld. The pic on the 2005 jetta shows the jack stand lifting the car where the front axel arm meets a round rotator cup, is this an acceptable point to lift the 2004 from. are there any other center jack points that I can use.

Thanks,

I think you're looking at the mk5 2006 Jetta article?

Your 2004 Jetta is a mk4 . You can use this article for some tips: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a4/jackpoints.htm but read the disclaimers! Your car may be different
