Default TDI Timing belt

Is changing the timing belt to hard to do? Why can't I view Part two?

You can see part two a little bit after registering, there's nothing to hard about doing the belt but it's best if you have some prior mechanical ability. Like all these things expereience makes the job easier. Having the correct tools and not taking chances helps too, if there's anything you're not sure about then find out first and get it to make sense first.

Anyway

I just replaced mine on a '97 TDI. It was my first timing belt. And I enjoyed the challenge, it took me about two days. As I second guessed each step. I changed all my vacuum hoses, fuel lines, replaced the tensioner, seal/o-ring on intermediate shaft, new V belt, and serp belt, 4 new bolts on the pulley, replaced the valve cover gasket, cleaned the MAF, and installed a new air filter. All in all I'd definately do it again. I found the Part 1 & Part 2 invaluable guidance and absolutely perfect instructions.

Yes, it's looped around the mount.
