Default engine light on

Hi, I need some help finding out what is wrong with my 98 jetta tdi. The engine is not pushing as it used to, so I hooked up the computer to the car and I got these fault codes: 00575, 00750 and 65535, if eneyone could help me it would be greatly apreciated. Thanks

00575 is intake manifold pressure intermittent. This means there is a problem with a vac hose, vac hose inside the ECU, bad/rusty wastegate, sensor, or there's a boost leak.

See these:

first link on the how to list because every mk3 TDI will have this problem

constant low power

00750 is warning lamp code

65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error is almost certainly the short hose inside the ECU. In fact, that's the classic symptom of a leaking ECU hose. First fix that hose since it's connected to the boost system and I'll bet the other codes may also be fixed. If not, go from there.

2nd, the hose fails. It's a bad design on VW's part. It's easy to remove and I think it connects to a sensor. Bad hose = bad sensor readings.

Smile increase horsepower

My car did not have power like it used to só I cleaned out the intake manifold it was claged up. Now I got my power back. What I like to know now is where I can order the chips for the ecu to increase horse power.

Thumbs up

Try rocketchip, kermatdi, or alligator. There's links to chip tuners in the basic performance FAQ: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/basicpowermods.htm

I got these codes, and I replaced the vac lines and the vac tube inside the ECE. The fault codes went away, except for the 00750.

What warning light is that 00750 referring to?

Old thread, same code!

I'm pretty sure this is the engine malfunction light, since I haven't seen the CEL in a very long time, maybe never.

Are all those bulbs clear?
