I've been reading around on here trying to find a solution for my 'limp mode' problem, there is some good advice, it seems to me that there could be a pressure issue causing the limp mode to kick in, is this the kind of thing that i can attempt to fix myself with only basic tools or best left to a mechanic? |

Welcome to the forum.
![]() Well its no use guessing you obviously need an Autoscan of someone with VAG-COM\VCDS then you will have a list of error codes you can sift through. Oh and don't let that cowboy that rewired your radio do it? Oh I wouldn't use Location: TQ9 UK you may as well put Torquay, UK?

Got a mechanic, plugged it into the machine, got an error code, turns out a vacuum line into the ECU was dislodged , reattached it, works fine.
Would never have done it without this website - http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/m...de-TDI-fix.htm forgotton what a difference it makes having turbo on the motorway, thanks a lot. J |
