Default cental locking 1998 tdi not working

Central locking on my 1998 tdi not working. Any suggestions on where to start?

I'm not totally clued up on your setup but if I remember right you have a vac pump in the boot/trunk somewhere then pipes to each actuator on the doors. I'd check the pump works then look for a broken pipe, maybe where they go into the doors.

This is pressuming you have a Mk3 car. Also it might be better if you could say what's actually not working like, is it the whole thing or just a door?

ok i'll check if the pump in the trunk is working. When one turns the key in the door you should have 12v to this pump i'm assuming.
