'95 TDI AC adapting

Hello every one,

I have a '95 Passat with 1Z engine without AC.
I have the intention to buy a VR6 with "klimatronic" and to take all the system from there.

Do you have any suggestion to make or there is something in particular to be careful with?

Welcome to the forum.

I wouldn't bother just leave the windows open.

It won't be a simple matter of swapping parts there is more into it than that.

I don't know what the temperatures are like in Romania but in the UK AC isn't worth having I could live without it.

I have done the first "little step" in this "project"... I have now the VR6 Passat from '96.
unfortunately, I hope to make transplant only next year when I'll be home again.

Well, the "job" is DONE ! ! ! I have AC Climatronic... In the near future I'll share the complete "making of".
Unfortunately, it is not 100% functional... electrical is killing me so, I need your help. I have three more unconnected wires.

Is there any VW-B4 owner with VR6 engine and Climatronic available to give a hand? TDI + Climatronic would be K, too...
