I'd tell Mr. End of Discussion I'll be looking for a dealer without a Dumb Ass... End of discussion!

Where can I find somebody who has the VAG COM?
Thank you for your response, I had looked at the links, but all the links are US, my original question is: Does the Canadian 2012 Passat TDI Comfortline have this equipment. So has any Canadian 2012 Passat TDI owners attempted to activate the rain sensing wipers.

A VW tech in my area was kind enough to bring his own Ross-Tech cable and helped me out on activating rain sensor.
Yes, it works!

Where in Texas are you and do you have a TDI SE?

I am in Houston and have the TDI SE manual trans. It looks like the mirror module does contain a rain sensor... would be great to turn it on somehow.

I'm picking my TDI SEL up tonight
Can anyone comment on whether losing the intermittent wiper functionality has been an issue? In other words, does the auto-wiper function work well?

Oh.. please someone from Canada answer the original posters question?

Thanks all.

Hi,

Anyone in Southern California have a VAG COM? Will trade a few minutes with it for a six pack. Private Message your preferred contact info.

Thanks!

I think it works fine. Every once in a while it seems to be a little too fast or slow but it's because the sensor only looks at a 2" square of window, not the whole window. It's just the way it works. If you don't like it, you can go back to intermittent wiper with a quick coding change, it's completely reversible.
