I have a 2005 Passat Wagon TDI with 106K miles on the original Timing Belt....so it's due and needs to be done before I drive it down to Texas! Any gotchas....feel free to shoot them my way...I bought the recommended kit from the details replacement thread. Thanks, Last edited by Keithuk; 10-30-2011 at 08:56 AM. Yes, also check out the balance shaft issue in the FAQ, the best time to change is on belt replacement time. You never know, maybe it could fail on the drive to TX!
