Installed the wastegate, but not sure if it's at the proper length. I'm getting p1557 as the error when hitting over 3000rpm at 3rd or over 120km/h -ish... |

![]() This is a common code if you search. VAG Error Code: 17965 EOBD II Error Code: P1557 Fault Location: Charge Pressure Control - Positive deviation Possible Cause: Reduced power output. Limp mode. Boost Pressure too High. Hoses/Pipes incorrectly connected, disconnected, blocked or leaking. Charger Pressure Control defective. Variable Nozzle Turbo (VNT) nozzles stuck. Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75) defective. Possible Solutions: Check Hoses/Pipes to/between Components. Check Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75). Check / Clean / Replace Charge Pressure Control. Check / Clean mechanism for variable nozzles. As taken from my Free EOBD II Error Codes software

Thanks for replying, i've actually seen this on many other forums. I have read the guides on here too. Trying to eliminate things one by one. The actuator is new so can't be that. Might be vacuum or turbo vanes (=S..). We'll see...

Well the common thing as in the limp home mode is Check Hoses/Pipes to/between Components easy enough and cheap enough to check and replace.
