Hi! just picked up a 1997 passat tdi for $500! It needs some typical work, it is in limp mode, and is a bit smokey when cold. Vacuum hose's are rotten, So I am going to start there. I hope to be able to get it to pass NH emmissions so wish me luck.

What a steal! Check out the mk3 new buying guide, it prob needs a lot of catch up maintenance.
