New member changing timing belt

Hi All,

I do lots of driving. I bought my '04 Jetta Wagon in July of 2011 with 80k on it
and now a year later I'm over 131k! I know I've been rolling the dice but I don't
think the timing belt was ever changed and I finally put some time aside to do it.
I've changed them before on Ford escorts and feel confident that changing it on
the TDI motor will be a slow but do-able project. The step by step article really
makes it more comforting and I am thankful for someone spending the time to do
that. Wish me luck, I'll be back with any questions.
