Hi.

I am a new member with a 2006 Jetta TDI BRM A5 with 80,000 miles and i hear that I should replace the timing belt soon to avoid problems. My nearest VW dealer is 200 miles away and will need to do it myself.

I am pretty mechanically competent but was looking for some hints on how to do it to save some time.
The website looks pretty good so far.
Thanks
Jim

See the mk5 DIY list, also do a cam check, 80,0000 miles is when they start to wear out. Good luck!
