Just recently became the owner of a 2004 Passat TDI at 155k with a great history including, BSM upgrade, new mounts, glow plug recall, tandem pump gasket, aluminum skid plate, new headlamps. This is not my first TDI though. I had a 96 Passat. So far everything is running well. I'll chime in when I need something.

sounds like it's already well sorted! Previous owner must have put a lot of work into that car...

Yes, the previous owner is a tdi guru of sorts and really has the car in good shape...of course, all that work came with a price.
