Introduction, 2004 Passat TDI Newbie

Im just trying to gain as much information on how to change out the balance shaft module and timing belt in my 2004 Passat TDI Wagon. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also looking for access to the specialty tools required, if anybody has them in the Central Massachusetts area i would be willing to rent them from you.

Welcome! I am in CT and rent them and as far as I know, am the only person to rent these tools. It's definitely doable but read the instructions thoroughly before starting and read them carefully!
