This is a diesel forum focusing on Volkswagen TDI and Audi TDI. The FAQ pages "1000 answered questions" cover things like diesel engine basics, transmission basics, or basic DIY maintenance and modifications. It also coves more advanced topics such as turbocharging theory or more advanced maintenance procedures. There are general FAQ and writeups specific to each car body and car generation. Links beginning with "www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q" or "1000q:" are FAQ pages.

To register or join the forum, go to any of the FAQ pages and there's a highlighted button at the top that says "register". Follow the instructions. If you are in the forum (these pages that you are looking at now are the forum / bulletin board (look at the blue bar near the top)). Below is a screenshot of what you should see if you're not registered. On your screen, click on "register" and follow the instructions.

Your location and what car you have are required information. There are strong anti-spam measures in place so if you feel your registration was rejected in error, please use the contact us form at the bottom of the page. If you're not getting the account activation email, please add myturbodiesel.com to your safe list or sign up with a yahoo or hotmail account. If you still cannot join, please use the "contact us" form at the bottom of the page.



To post a new thread (start your own topic - thread means topic) click on the red arrow in the below screenshot marked "Start new thread". This button is only visible while viewing a subforum so that your thread is posted to that subforum. You can also change your user options or preferences by clicking on "User control panel". Once you have made a post you can add an avatar (the picture next to your user name) or signature.


To reply to a post, click on the button Q-reply (quick reply). This will activate the quick reply message box. Type your message, then click "Post Quick Reply".
If you want to quote the message click "Quote". M-Quote will quote multiple posts. The last one you quote should be "Quote" and it will open the reply box.

You can also click "Go Advanced" (the button next to post quick reply) to get more options like attachments or smilies.

To increase the height of the reply box, click the up/down arrows on the reply box once you've activated the reply box. The width is fixed (I already increased the width significantly vs. the default settings and it's not possible to go wider without messing up the page formatting).
