Default Hello from a new member

Hello, my name is Patrick, and I drive a 2005 Passat GLS TDI. I am wondering how I determine whether I have a MK5 or MK6 version.
I am new to forums but hopefully will pick it up quickly. I live in Wisconsin and love DYI'ing.

Welcome to the forum Patrick.

Well they change the Passat in 2005 from mk5 to mk6 maybe the Options sticker will tell you more details. The Options sticker is in the service shedule if you don't have that then the other half of this sticker should be on the boot floor next to the spare wheel well.

It's a North American car so it's a mk4. The mk5 Passat started in 2006 and the mk6 started in 2012.
